That's prudent.
For the cafe I have no first hand knowledge but it seems to be doing well, and better still after we got a drinks licence. They could always do with more volunteers to run it, should anyone be willing to help.

And thanks for your positive comments guys, its fun to be back. Also, there was considerable debate about installing a cafe facility at Broadway; does the railway now feel that the investment was justified? Thank you for the welcome resumption of the blog. I have also noticed from walking closed lines, how quickly the track bed in cuttings fills up with water and becomes a swamp, once no one is maintaining the drainage gullys.

Powli Wilson Powli Wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18310919997445402473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914276256646518799.post-85554432805101608502019-09-22T00:01:08.112+01:002019-09-22T00:01:08.112+01:00Welcome back! When the Broadway footbridge comes in to use, it will always contain a warm, summery glow, even on the greyest of winter days, thanks to all that hard work with the light stone paintintwork.
The lineside detail is fascinating, too. This is the sort of thing which would never get seen from a passing train, at least not in detail. because I originally got interested in railways by walking the old trackbeds as a teenager, the civil engineering aspect was the first thing which grabbed my attention, And has continued to do so ever since. The trains to me, are just the icing on the cake!
Mark T.Phaaschhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02747852507990028985noreply@blogger.com
