BTW, in Spain, we called 'tractor trains' which trundled round the towns a 'Wally trolley', for that is who undoubtedly travelled on them, being in the town for mere hours. It was unthinkable for any of us residents to be seen (dead or otherwise) on one of them! Then my partner hired one for her Birthday party transport! That put a different light upon things!

Wonderful photography and work and I appreciated the humour also. Just a suggestion but perhaps the large area of windowless wall at the southern end might be a good place for a large suitably authentic advertisement board. They seem to have been a common feature in GWR days judging by old photos.

Btw, notwithstanding all the above objections, the 'broad gauge' tractor would be inappropriate on heritage grounds as the line was built as standard gauge!Trevorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12841825195068179068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914276256646518799.post-6782360563501651422017-10-31T11:18:04.055+00:002017-10-31T11:18:04.055+00:00I love the sardonic humour. Selling repro station lamps and cast- iron signs is something not every heritage railway gets involved with. There again, if I had a suitable platform, a gW style lamp would be on my wish- list.
Then if some blighter nicks a sign or two, they will curse themselves once they realise it is not cast metal!
