Also we don't hear much from the drainage crew although we see lots of pictures! If not for their efforts the line would be waterlogged! Yet another crew of unsung heroes of the GWR! Once again a great pictures and dialogue Jo, so well done to all, see you all in September!
Regards
Paul & Marion. Speaking of stored and stacked concrete sleepers, I seem to remember there being a fair few on the Southern extension of the line - around the drains around the Bishops Cleeve area. Is it worth taking a look down there for spare SHCs? A good bit about the fixing in of the P1 running in board post. Can you claim the first passenger train over the northern extension?, why not? Surely a perk of laying the track in the first place. Over the years visiting the GWSR, I've seen seemingly random concrete sleepers (usually there for a reason) become embedded in the foliage and sometimes being a bit of an eyesore. However, good organisation and human and mechanical power has resulted in a serious tidy up of the running line and very useful material for the final part of the extension. Great stuff.Toddingtontedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02470051178926426104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914276256646518799.post-44801107308267581502017-08-16T20:47:15.202+01:002017-08-16T20:47:15.202+01:00Cake is saturdays, today's treat was a double ...Cake is saturdays, today's treat was a double chocolate Magnum from the Broadway garage:-)Jo https://www.blogger.com/profile/05480195769830116100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914276256646518799.post-43149789354632225462017-08-16T20:27:56.670+01:002017-08-16T20:27:56.670+01:00And what was the cake filling today?
