The crack is in the morter and has fractured the middle of the bricks. I presume this has happened since the bridge repair, as your strike notice sits astride the crack. Wondered if its subsidance. Even more so when trains start running! What happens after a bridge strike, does it mean the bridge cannot be used until the bridge is inspected and any repairs are made? this could cost the railway a lot of money in lost revenue if it continues to happen when Broadway opens!
Regards
Paul & Marion.Paul & Marion Sucksmithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15384367780051937185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914276256646518799.post-66316029932059345202017-04-02T08:26:13.629+01:002017-04-02T08:26:13.629+01:00We have the number plate for this occasion.

But I am only a brassed off amateur. Maybe you have other methods in mind. Anyway, the track laying seems to be going 'great guns'. So there is something to be happy about. You clearly have a problem with truck drivers and this bridge - at least if you have video footage, you can go to the police and report the driver for leaving the scene of an accident. You will also be able to chase the owner for the cost of the bridge repairs.

I realise that this will be expensive, but it will at least give you some chance of recovering the costs of these bridge strikes. It might also encourage some of these drivers to use an alternative route, thus avoiding your bridge.

One thing to bear in mind - use videotape, not digital. There was a court case where the defence successfully argued that Digital photography did not constitute acceptable evidence in court, as it can be easily modified. So use a videotape camera!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914276256646518799.post-11532794328666120452017-04-01T20:04:01.175+01:002017-04-01T20:04:01.175+01:00I don't think so - they didn't leave their...I don't think so - they didn't leave their details....Jo https://www.blogger.com/profile/05480195769830116100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914276256646518799.post-27016334826290049472017-04-01T19:51:38.295+01:002017-04-01T19:51:38.295+01:00Was the bridge strike the builders next to the sta...Was the bridge strike the builders next to the station garage site?Steve Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03246751941088920565noreply@blogger.com
