We can already pass trains at Cheltenham but Gotherington is much more convenient from a timetabling perspective.Alexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11705201971763944350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914276256646518799.post-14076550525956846902019-09-29T17:04:17.666+01:002019-09-29T17:04:17.666+01:00Always interesting - how true, thanks Jo.
The more...Always interesting - how true, thanks Jo.
The more surprising thing about Gotherington (to me) is the passing loop with no platform on either side (in these days of exaggerated safety concerns)? Perhaps when Cheltenham is available for passing there will be less use made of Gotherington as a passing point.

Powli Powli Wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18310919997445402473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914276256646518799.post-86375691772134426392019-09-29T11:12:52.461+01:002019-09-29T11:12:52.461+01:00If we stopped our trains in the station, passenger...If we stopped our trains in the station, passengers could step off directly on to private property.
Also I can well imagine that the owners would not like to have people staring through the windows, or knocking on the doors for timetable information and similar questions.Jo https://www.blogger.com/profile/05480195769830116100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914276256646518799.post-86021616702053493492019-09-29T10:28:13.501+01:002019-09-29T10:28:13.501+01:00I think you have answered your own question!I think you have answered your own question!Toddingtontedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02470051178926426104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914276256646518799.post-88809675320027542802019-09-29T01:24:49.431+01:002019-09-29T01:24:49.431+01:00Thanks for a fine blog.
