This only came down when we had use of the coach. This was also the time when we removed the decking and concreted the goods shed floor as you have it today. It's about 10 inches thick with reinforcing with about 160 tons of infill below that.Dave Scotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10463220740684887238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914276256646518799.post-64517940033610755772019-12-01T18:41:19.211+00:002019-12-01T18:41:19.211+00:00Hopefully a new use can be found for this coach an...Hopefully a new use can be found for this coach and not to scrap it for spares, there are no new ones being built after all.

Regards PaulKAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914276256646518799.post-64848946331732334672019-12-01T17:34:42.634+00:002019-12-01T17:34:42.634+00:00It is SK25646 converted to an exhibition coach (by...It is SK25646 converted to an exhibition coach (by BR?) and is in "as left" departmental use externally

Rod C&WRodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16616817322269449318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914276256646518799.post-29289931669976655762019-12-01T09:25:33.767+00:002019-12-01T09:25:33.767+00:00I don't think the Steam Dept's carriage is...I don't think the Steam Dept's carriage is an ex brake vehicle, just looks like one with all the panelling. Probably an SK or CK. If it is structurally sound, it would make a great bar car though!
It sure looked cold at Broadway, so well done all that turned out to work on the bridge etc.
Nice to see 2807 as I too thought she was out of service until after her heavy overhaul.
An excellent paint job on the GWR full brake into Ocean Mails livery. I think the GW telegraph code was SNAKE for full brakes.
Regards, Paul.StBlazey1925noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914276256646518799.post-30612900272562728282019-11-30T22:50:40.050+00:002019-11-30T22:50:40.050+00:00The GWR poster board factory sounds good, I look f...The GWR poster board factory sounds good, I look forward to seeing the results, any for me to take a brush to? :-)
The Collett full brake looks superb in its new livery, very nicely done. Is it just me though or does the lettering look a little orange?
