However, lengthening days will soon be here and will begin to match your lengthening ballast run! I don't remember WD austerity 2-8-0s as most locos looked the same to me around 1960 (I was about 5 then!) but I was delighted to have a trip behind the only working survivor 90733 (never carried a BR number as it was a WD loco later exported)at the KWVR last year. I have read that these 2-8-0s could be very rough riders for the crew but they lasted for many years in service. Good to see a photo of one on "our" Line.
