All ELR Permanent Way department staff
and volunteers have been trained in using the new trolley, including pre-use brake
tests, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

ELR are assessing the withdrawn trolleys and arranging for them to be repaired
or disposed of, as appropriate. Looking at photos of Broadway I'd have thought cast GWR letters ought to be fairly obvious in certain views but aren't. The whole subject's a bit of a minefield though, as are many such things like this.

A couple of links though, one from RMWeb discussing the subject: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/66040-gwr-poster-boards-and-early-structure-colours/ I'd always be cautious just copying from models but reading through modellers' research is often useful, they're quite likely to want to get it right!

And secondly a picture of Shirley station which shows the boards there quite nicely: http://www.warwickshirerailways.com/gwr/gwrsh489a.htm The lettering I'd imagine painted similar to the interior one you showed me Jo, or similar to one of the ones from the SVR I emailed you about a couple of months ago.

Regardless of all that, any poster boards will be welcome to decorate the building a bit and make it look the part.

AlexAlexnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914276256646518799.post-58658481601787599802018-11-29T14:29:25.253+00:002018-11-29T14:29:25.253+00:00Thanks for the advice, Paul.

It was noted by a contributor to the blog that the Great Western hardly ever (and then only latterly) used G.W.R at the top of their boards, preferring GREAT WESTERN, and only using G.W.R on their posters prior to the 'shirt button' logo.
This is not a criticism but hoped to aid in your search for authenticity at Broadway.
Regards, Paul.St Blazey 1925https://www.blogger.com/profile/16697444840076235191noreply@blogger.com
